Goettl Air Conditioning announced its acquisition of the Southern California family-owned HVAC Company, the Walton’s Heating and Air. However, the financial details of the transactions were not disclosed for inspection. The new grand deal will allow Goettl to expand its presence in California. It will also offer an opportunity for Walton’s Heat to come back into life from the waning business. Goettl already has a presence in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Tucson. It will achieve more than what Todd Longbrake would have done as the sole owner of the Watson’s Heat.
The journey to amalgamation
Goettl proposed the interest to acquire Watson’s back in 2015, but its owner, Longbrake was overly reluctant. Comments from members in the industry convinced him to give the partnership with Ken Goodrich a chance, and since then, he says the business has grown ten-fold. The acquisition was finalized in 2015.
Longbrake will serve in Goettl as the field supervisor and the sales manager. Goodrich has been able to handle various hurdles throughout the acquisition of the Watson’s, considering the value it brings on board. Goettl is currently employing 306 workers. The partnership with the Watson’s Heat is expected to create more job vacancies, approximately 200 new positions. The jobs will be procured particularly for Phoenix and Tucson, where the company has grown extensively.
About Goettl Air Conditioning
The Goettl Air Conditioning was founded in 1939 as the Gust and Adam Goettl. It was a development around the state of Phoenix since it was the first evaporative cooler and refrigerated AC Unit, in the harsh desert temperatures. It has grown to be one of the most trusted names in the industry, transitioning from one business technology to other innovations in the HVAC business. It has about 160 employees, but with Watson’s, the number is expected to grow to over 500. More than 86% of American households use the Goettl Air Conditioning equipment.
Every technician working with the Goettl is “Sadie Certified.” They undergo thorough background and drug tests as well as skill building and training. Goettl undertakes periodic maintenance, repairs, and protection of home HVAC Systems, working under premium agreements. It works with the Sunny Plumber as its sister company, to ensure that it penetrates smaller markets and homes that need maintenance from time to time. The company has been contracted to undertake the plumbing and piping segment of the Goettl & Watson’s.
